Double espresso, dark chocolate, steamed milk. Rich and honest.

The mocha is coffee and chocolate: a combination that works because good espresso already has chocolatey undertones, and dark chocolate amplifies them. The key is using real chocolate, not syrup. At Skippy, we use dark chocolate to produce a mocha that tastes of both coffee and chocolate in equal measure, not primarily of sweetness.

We pull a double espresso, add melted dark chocolate, then pour steamed whole milk over the top. The result is a 200–220ml drink that's richer and more indulgent than a latte, with the chocolate adding body and depth rather than just sweetness. We don't add sugar; the chocolate and the natural sweetness from the milk and espresso provide enough.

The mocha is the most indulgent drink on the Skippy menu. It's still built on specialty coffee; the quality of the espresso underneath the chocolate matters as much as in any other drink.
